Software downloads

Tallis software, which supports the development and enactment of clinical knowledge applications, is available for download to interested contributors to OpenClinical.net.

Tallis is based on the PROforma representation language and consists of a suite of applications:

  • Composer - a desktop application for authoring guidelines. The Composer includes a test application for simulating interaction with PROforma guidelines on a desktop, and includes default settings for enacting applications on OpenClinical.net after they have been uploaded to the OpenClinical repository.
  • Tester - a desktop application for testing PROforma guidelines. The tester comes bundled with Composer, but may be run as a standalone application if required.
  • Web Enactment - a web application for enacting your application over the web.

You can register to download Tallis technology on the website of the COSSAC group at the University of Oxford. This will allow access to authoring and publishing software, applications on the OpenClinical public repository (which you may wish to modify for local use for example), and to a range of useful patterns and reusable “components” which can simplify the development of new applications.

Note that OpenClinical.net  currently concentrates on the development of Open Source knowledge applications and collaboration is therefore limited to open research projects and non-profit activities.
