Hosting services for trials

OpenClinical.net aims to support research trials of clinical applications on the site. We are proposing to offer two hosting methods:

• Application hosting: contributors may run their applications on the OpenClinical.net server. Time and date-stamped patient data and derived data (interpretations, decisions etc) will be captured automatically onto a private, secure database. Contributors will be able to access these for review and analysis. Data management services (data sharing, data mining and other on-line analysis services) will be offered.

• Application download: contributors may install their applications, with an integrated database, on their own secure part of the OpenClinical.net server. They will remain in full control of the data acquired during a trial, but they will also be able to maintain security copies of their research data and access data management services if required.
