Priority objectives of technologies are well understood but their uses and impacts are not

The short term priorities of are to

  • Make available a set of software tools for creating and disseminating knowledge of best clinical practice in the form of practical applications which support healthcare professionals in their practice.
  • Attract a community of designers and developers to build an open access (anyone, anywhere, any time) and open source (sharable content) repository of knowledge and applications which can be used to support patient care and adapted to meet local conditions.
  • Demonstrate a sound authoring and publishing process for ensuring quality throughout the content development lifecycle, and to rapidly translate new clinical research findings into routine patient care.

The first phase of the project will focus on supporting research to demonstrate the concept and its practical uses; the use of Repertoire to support routine clinical practice and research into impacts on qualify and safety of patient care will come later.
